Grind Analytics Expands Executive C-Suite
COO Appointment Reunites Former ClosingCorp Leadership Team

December 1, 2020

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — December 1, 2020 — Grind Analytics, a leading provider of data-driven business intelligence and customized data warehousing solutions, today announced that long-time data and financial services leader Brian Benson has joined its executive team as Chief Operations Officer. Benson will help guide the company’s aggressive growth initiatives to expand its offerings across multiple industries. The addition of Benson reunites him with Grind Analytics CEO Tim Armbruster who previously worked with him at both ClosingCorp and First American.

“Brian is a tremendous addition to the Grind Analytics team. His deep experience in data and professional services, along with his leadership and proven ability to drive growth in our industry, is a natural fit for our business,” said Armbruster. “Grind Analytics is unique in that we don’t just understand the data and the technology – we have actually been in the trenches with our clients helping to solve their biggest challenges for over two decades. I’m thrilled to be back working with Brian at this very exciting time when data-driven business intelligence is such a vital component for success,” he said.

Before joining Grind Analytics, Benson most recently led the partner channel for Accenture Mortgage Cadence for three years where he also served on the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Digital Advisory panels. Prior to that, he served as CEO for ClosingCorp, during which he was selected as a Mortgage Bankers Association Technology All-Star for his efforts to transform the company into an industry leader in TILA RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) compliance. He also spent 16 years in sales and operations leadership roles at CoreLogic and First American and is an inaugural HousingWire Vanguard Award recipient. Benson is a former United States Coast Guard officer with command experience in Japan and West Africa.

Benson said his own passion for the business intelligence space and the chance to drive both product and custom development growth is what attracted him to Grind Analytics. “Tim is a true thought leader, and he has put together an amazing team that understands both technology and the effort required to build a data-driven business model,” he said. “In my previous role, I had an in-depth look at the offerings in this space, and I am convinced that our flagship MODM product will be a game changer. The power it brings to managing remote employees is invaluable. The reality is that using business intelligence to drive decisions isn’t a nice-to-have in 2020, it’s a must-have, and I’m excited to be part of a company that is poised to help lead the way,” said Benson.
